New PAS 125 Team Appointed At BSI | BSI Group

Press release: 5th January 2012

BSI today announces the new BSI PAS 125 team to provide a more structured and customer-centric service to all bodyshops awarded the Kitemark licence and those wishing to obtain it.

The new expanded structure has allowed BSI to align the vehicle damage repair Kitemark scheme more closely to the product certification business and emphasises BSI's ongoing commitment to this PAS.

The new team comprises:

  • Mark Cattle, Commercial Sales Manager – point of contact for all sales enquiries
  • Richard Meadowcroft, Technical Expert – provision of technical support
  • John Lee, Head of Technical Certification – responsible for commercial support

Bodyshops that achieve the Kitemark are able to differentiate themselves from the competition by displaying a highly recognised consumer mark that stands for trust, safety and reliability *” said Gary Fenton, Global Assurance Director at BSI. By expanding and investing in the PAS 125 team, we are able to provide our Kitemark licensees with a better service and demonstrates our highest commitment to this scheme. This is imperative as PAS 125 provides assurance to both motor vehicle insurers and owners that repairs are undertaken to a robustly managed process.”

To date 877 bodyshops have been awarded a Kitemark licence to PAS 125 with a further 82 in the application process, demonstrating the value this scheme brings to the industry and consumers alike.

PAS 125 was recently revised to address the latest technological innovation in the motor industry and best practice within bodyshops. All changes to the PAS were agreed by industry representatives and public comment, to ensure that compliance with the PAS continues to reassure vehicle owners of the quality and safety standards in the vehicle damage repair process.
