BSI announces new information security training courses

Press release - 23 June 2008

BSI announces two new ISO/IEC 27001 training courses as part of its growing BSI Learning programme. As technology continues to advance and access to markets expands, the need to protect corporate information to ensure its confidentiality, integrity and security has never been more apparent or critical.

As leaders in the field and currently the biggest provider of training days in this sector, BSI Learning launches two exciting additions to its Information Security training schedule.

The pioneering ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer course and improved ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor course are ideal options for those professionals looking to invest in a globally recognised qualification with the BSI brand behind it.

Speaking about the company’s newest addition to its Information Security training portfolio, Mike Bailey, Head of Training at BSI comments, “Our new Lead Implementer course is designed to provide delegates with the necessary skills and tools to implement an ISMS that meets the certification requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and is based on the code of practice defined by ISO/IEC 27002.

“Both the objective and result of the course is the development of a skeleton ISMS, including key processes, policies and procedures which can be used the moment you step back into your office. The knowledge and skills imparted during this course will prove invaluable in improving and protecting your business.”

All courses have examinations with assessment to check understanding. Attendance on this course will provide delegates with 40 CPD points.
