Mike Low, Director of BSI British Standards, appointed to China Standardization Expert Committee

Mike Low, Director of BSI British Standards, joins the China Standardization Expert Committee (CSEC) as the first foreign advisor to the committee.

CSEC advises Standardization Administration of China (SAC) on national standards strategy and policy; major reform and innovative measures for standardization; key projects in science and technology; publication and implementation of standards.  BSI has been working closely with SAC for several years in developing strategy and addressing key topics such as energy, sustainability, IT security and standards associated with major events such as the Olympic Games.

Mike Low said, “I am delighted to have been appointed to the China Standardization Expert Committee where I look forward to working with academic and industry experts on standardization strategy and policy.  China is moving forward rapidly in its standardization activities and targets for the development and adoption of, and harmonisation with, International Standards. This is a very exciting opportunity for BSI to continue its involvement with SAC.”
