Thatcham BSI Kitemark® Scheme is first to receive UKAS Accreditation for PAS 125

BSI is delighted to announce that it has become the first and only product certification body to achieve the coveted Royal Crown and Tick accreditation from UKAS for its Thatcham BSI Kitemark scheme, aimed at raising quality and safety standards in crash repair.
BSI’s has been accredited against British Standard BS EN 45011 for Product Certification Bodies and demonstrates BSI’s competence, impartiality and performance capability in auditing and certifying vehicle body repair processes.
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is the sole national accreditation body recognzed by Government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations – such as BSI – that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.
BSI’s Global Managing Director, Alastair Trivett, said: “UKAS Accreditation of the Thatcham BSI Kitemark® scheme is yet another distinguishing mark to show that motor insurers, accident management companies, fleet managers and the motoring public can have confidence in the quality and safety of vehicle body repair throughout the UK.”
