Easy to understand guide to scheme produced

BSI has responded to calls from the garage sector for information on the Kitemark® for Garage Services, with the production of an easy-to-understand guide.

The new glossy 4-page leaflet highlights all the key benefits the Kitemark® for Garage Services offers a garage business and is aimed at encouraging more garages to sign up to the scheme.

Inside the leaflet, BSI has re-iterated the recent independent findings that 82 percent of the UK adult population recognise the Kitemark® and 69 percent of these are willing to spend more on a Kitemark service.

The leaflet, which is being sent directly to garages throughout the UK, allows garages to reply to BSI in order to receive their Kitemark® for Garage Services application pack.

Jack Kryiacos of Kitemark® Licensee East London Garage, said: “The strength of the Kitemark® scheme is in its independence. BSI is outside the motor industry and is therefore recognised by the public as impartial. Everyone at East London Garage feels more confident and professional when dealing with customers and we’ve seen a significant increase in business, aided by an advertising campaign using the BSI Kitemark™.”
