November 12, 2003- Information Handling Services (IHS) and the British Standards Institution (BSI) have jointly announced a new non-exclusive agreement between IHS's UK subsidiary, Technical Indexes Ltd (TiUK) and BSI, effective January 1, 2004.

This new sales, distribution and licensing agreement means that all products and services offered under the previous agreement will continue to be available from IHS/TiUK, covering specifications and standards, regulatory data and parts information, as well as industry specific information for construction, architecture (jointly with RIBA Enterprises), railway engineering, electronic engineering, healthcare facilities, product design, trading standards and offshore engineering.

The continued relationship will expand the delivery of information to a wide-range of industrial and commercial markets both within the UK and worldwide. Stevan Breeze, Managing Director of the BSI Group, welcomed the new agreement. "BSI is looking forward to continuing the close relationship it has had with IHS/Technical Indexes over the past 30 years. It will enable us to continue to promote British Standards into new markets while maintaining excellent service to existing customers."

Customers can look forward to continued product and service innovations, tailored to their technical information needs. This collaboration maintains a powerful combination of IHS' extensive global reach and industry specific product development, coupled with BSI's commitment to implement new approaches to its B2B publishing activity.

Bob Carpenter, President and CEO of IHS Group, agrees. "Our company looks forward to working closely with our colleagues at BSI to develop an ever-growing range of improved products and value-added services, targeted at specific industrial and commercial end users both in the UK and in other markets worldwide.
