How standards can help to protect your IT when using wireless networks

Currently, no international standard addresses wireless network use, although there are technical standards that define the protocols and transmission techniques used. A new part of the network security standard ISO/IEC 27033 is being developed to meet this need. When developed, ISO/IEC 27033-6, Securing wireless IP network access, will deal with the additional security problems of wireless networks.
