Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965), who was a British statesman and remains one of the most famous former Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom (1940 - 1945, 1951 - 1955), was the first person to be made an honorary citizen of the United States and also won a Nobel Prize for literature.
