BSI works with industry, business, government, consumers and educators to develop British, European and international standards. We manage the national standards-making process, helping organisations of all sizes and sectors to develop market-led voluntary consensus standards.
For some international standards, we arrange public engagement events. They’re an important way for us to engage stakeholders during a standard’s public consultation stage. They also give an opportunity for the public to gain insights as to how standards are made.
The most common form of these public engagement events is a public committee meeting.
